Trivia
- Although Constrict is a Template:Type2 move, no Normal-type Pokémon can legally learn the move, with the obvious exception of Smeargle. Also, although its entry states that it involves the user attacking the foe with long tentacles or vines, it is not a Template:Type2 move.
- Constrict has the lowest base power out of all damage-dealing moves, along with Fury Cutter. However, Constrict's power does not increase with consecutive usage, as Fury Cutter's does.
