==Release information==
This card was released as a promotional card. In Japan, it was awarded to the runners-up of the First and Second Official Pokémon Card Game Tournaments held in 1997 and 1998 respectively. Another version was also awarded to the runners-up of the Blastoise Mega Battle in 1999. The card was never released in English.
 
==Trivia==
This card is also popularly known as the ''Pikachu Trophy No.2'' card, in reference to the illustration. It is one of the rarest cards in the world, with only one copy of the card produced over the course of three years, meaning only three exist. At the height of the Pokémon phenomenon in the West, auctions of this card saw it make roughly $9,000.
