(Japanese: 旅立ち!フタバタウンからマサゴタウンへ!! Departure! From Futaba Town to Masago Town!!) is the first episode of Diamond & Pearl, and the 469th episode of the overall meta-series. It is scheduled to air in Japan on September 28, 2006, the same day as the Japanese release of the Nintendo DS games, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
Hikari is a ten year old girl living in the region of Sinnoh. Today's supposed to be a memorable day when one begins a journey as a Pokemon Trainer. Before Hikari goes out, she obtains a old ribbon from her mother. Hikari starts her journey by heading towards the Pokémon Laboratory to get her starter Pokémon, but she's completely perplexed by the roads and ends up completely lost, even saying "Please pokémon!" in a restaurant. Meanwhile at the lab, a fight between Hikozaru and Pochama, do them flew from the lab and get on a Ariados' net! When Hikari arrives at the lab, she follows Pochama and Hikozaru.
Synopsis
The episode starts off when Hikari is waking up. She turns off her alarm clock that is in a shape of a Mukkuru. She gets up and opens her window.
