Release information
This card was included in the Base Set, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack. The 1st Edition and Shadowless print runs of this card were spelled Impostor Professor Oak and changed to Imposter for all further print runs and reprints. It was reprinted in the Base Set 2 expansion. The original, Imposter-spelled print was rereleased for the Pokémon 25th Anniversary. The Celebrations expansion's Classic Collection included a variant with the 25th Anniversary logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork and Wizards of the Coast removed from the copyright information. In Japan, it was reprinted in the Promo Card Pack 25th Anniversary Edition with a red and gold "25th" logo in the bottom right corner of the artwork. Both prints are Confetti Holofoil and have etching similar to Full Art cards.
