Release information

This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the Team Up expansion, first released in the Japanese Tag Bolt expansion. Both prints feature artwork by Sanosuke Sakuma. A SM-P Promotional version of the Regular print, also Holofoil, was later awarded to winners of New Battle events held at participating Pokémon Card Gym venues across Japan, which featured different formats each month. This print was available at events using the March format, which required at least 1 Tag Team Pokémon-GX card or at least 4 Pokémon from the Double Blaze expansion to be included in a Standard-regulation deck, as well as the April format, which instead required at least 1 Tag Team Pokémon-GX card or at least 4 Pokémon from the GG End subset to be included. All participating Pokémon Card Gym venues held New Battle events using the March format between March 1 and 31, 2019. April format New Battle events were held between April 1 and 30, 2019. The Regular print was reprinted as Non Holofoil in the Hidden Fates expansion. The Regular print was reprinted as a Non Holofoil, alongside a new Full Art print with artwork by kodama, in the Japanese Tag All Stars subset. The Team Up Regular print was reprinted in the Japanese Sword & Shield Premium Trainer Box and Grass Venusaur V Deck.

Trivia

This card's activation condition has a different wording in Japanese prints: You can play this card only when you have fewer than 6 cards in your hand (including this one). Both conditions have the same meaning, and the change in international releases was to avoid misreads from unaware players.

Origin

Erika is a Gym Leader in Kanto.
