Hi, I'm a random guy living in South Korea and thank you for visiting my profile.

I'm currently studying medicine at college and I'm also a big Pokemon fan (the games, the anime, and especially AdvanceShipping!). I love playing Pokemon (of course), listening to Pokemon music (the game & anime BGM), watching the Pokemon anime, collecting settei (設定) and CDs for the Pokemon anime, reading AdvanceShipping fan fiction, looking back at super old threads on Pokemon forums (which is quite interesting to say the least), watching Pokemon speed runs on twitch, and so on. Other nintendo franchises that I like include Mario Kart and Kirby. My other hobbies include going on a bike ride, reading random stuff on Wikipedia, taking care of my pets, working out at the local gym, and watching some sports.

I've been a fan of the franchise since 2008, when I got my Diamond version. After spending over 300 hours on it and also playing through Soul Silver, I kinda lost interest in the franchise. When Diamond & Pearl first came out, the DS lite was a big hit in Korea; literally every single one of my friends had the console. But as the smartphone became widespread, many friends and I fell out of the franchise and ended up missing the 5th generation (although I kept track from time to time).

But then, in early 2015, I saw a commercial for ORAS playing on the TV and this somehow reignited my love for Pokemon. After purchasing AS and enjoying every single bit of it (except the removal of battle frontier), I decided to dig deeper and became the huge fan I am now.

As for the anime, I had watched some DP episodes in the late 00's but didn't have a lot of interest in it. But, as I was reading some random articles on Bulbapedia, I got to read a page on 'Misty's Song' (the Poke-Shippyness is quite remarkable) and became interested in the idea of shipping. Then, I luckily got to watch a redub of the 9th movie in the theaters and this made me the AdvanceShipper I am today. I'm okay with all the other ships; it is just that AdvanceShipping happens to be my favorite.

I mainly do minor edits and upload some anime images on this site. I also try to contribute to the Korean-related articles on this site from time to time since that is my specialty and there aren't lots of Korean Bulbapedians in this world. Also, I'm not really familiar with the technical, editing portions of Bulbapedia so if I make a mistake, sorry for the inconvenience and please don't hesitate to notify me.

-Hi, my name is Jiho Hwang and I'm an ordinary, Pokémon loving, 15 years old middle school student currently living in the bad education system of South Korea. Some of my hobbies are: playing Pokémon games, surfing on [[Bulbagarden]], watching the [[Advanced Generation series|AG Pokémon anime]], listening to Pokémon music, reading [[Shipping:AdvanceShipping|AdvanceShipping]] fanfics, going on a bike ride, playing badminton, taking care of pet crayfish, and playing the Saxophone.
-I got into Pokémon in 2007 when I got my first [[Nintendo]]-made device, which was a silver coloured [[Nintendo DS Lite]] (I still have it!). The game that I bought with that DS was the [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions|Diamond version]] and so far, I have played about 300 hours on it. Those days were the days when Pokémon and Nintendo were really famous in Korea and I enjoyed the game a lot even though I knew nothing about Pokémon (I taught {{m|Cut}} to {{p|Dialga}} and thought it was the best thing in the world XD).
-Then, as the popularity died down, my love towards the franchise started to fade off. From then, I didn't have much interest in Pokémon until my friend asked me if I play Pokémon about a year ago. From that moment,  the Pokémon spirit inside me began to fire up again and here I am! Thanks to my friend, I soon got to know about the internet forums, the [[Pokémon anime|anime]], [[Shipping|shipping]], competitive battling ([[Effort values|EVs]], [[Individual values|IVs]], [[Nature|Natures]], etc.), and last but not least, this awesome site called [[Bulbapedia]].
-In the anime department, I am now watching the AG anime from the beginning to the end. I wish I were born about ten years later since those times were the peak of AG's popularity, but oh well. The AG anime really serves well as my life's energiser (Now I'm sad because three aren't too many episodes left to watch.. I also don't really like [[Ash Ketchum|Ash]]'s dub voice too.. [[SOVA]]!!!) and for some reason, the [[XY series|new anime that comes out these days]] doesn't seem to interest me. My favorite character is definitely [[May (anime)|May]] since I like how she looks (Can't deny that as a guy XD) and also because of her caring personality ([[AG064]]-True Blue Swablu. Watch it. A great episode.), the occasional cute interactions between her and [[Max]], how she has developed from a Pokémon-hating, immature girl into a skilful coordinator, etc. (Too many other things to list) I'm also a supporter of AdvanceShipping because of M09, which re-aired in the cinemas in Korea a few months ago (I got an event {{p|Manaphy}} too! Haha) and also the great fan fictions (PikamasterADV will come back!) I have read. I guess it serves as another energiser in my life, since I think it is fun paring up my two favorite characters and talking with others who have the same opinion as me.
-In the games department, I'm currently playing [[Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire|Alpha Sapphire]] on the [[Nintendo 3DS|3DS]] and [[Pokémon Emerald Version|Emerald]] on the [[Game Boy Advance SP]] (I got the special green Rayquaza version on eBay with all my allowance XD. You can also see that I really love [[Hoenn]], right?). I'm really having fun with these two games and although I know that it will be very hard, my objective for both of these games is to conquer the battle facility in each game (AS-[[Battle Resort]] and E-[[Battle Frontier (Hoenn)|Battle Frontier]]).
-In the Bulbagarden department, I am currently working on adding the Korean titles and filling in missing information for the AG anime. I also edit random minor mistakes from time to time. Plus, I also work on adding some higher quality AG screenshots on the archives. But, due to the harsh education system of Korea (ex: loads of homework to do at home, being stuck in a math academy for 5 straight hours, solving weird calculus problems, going to academies everyday even during summer break, etc.), I might have difficulties with my task XD. Plus, I'm still pretty unfamiliar with all these editing stuff so feel free to give me some advice.
