The Rival (Japanese: ライバル Rival) is a friend and rival of the player in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
In the games
The Rival, like the player's character, is a young boy from Pallet Town. His adventure begins one day when Professor Oak calls the two to his lab for a starter Pokémon.
Trivia
- Pre-release media for Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! referred to the Rival as "Trace" (Japanese: シン Shin, Korean: 진우 Jin-u).
