Excavate is a typeless move introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team that breaks down a wall tile in front of the user.
The technical machine item that teaches this move was dummied out in the released version of the game, thus the move can only be obtained by use of cheating devices. Additionally, the machine was not included in the game code for Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, and it's unknown whether the Excavate move is still in that game's code or removed entirely.
This move is likely to have been replaced by the HM Rock Smash, which has the same purpose as Excavate in these games.
