It just seems appropriate, especially as readers who aren't aware of this fact might want to know what the other evolutionary lines are. Also, [[Generation I]] also points out the fact that a damaging move varying in type was not introduced and lists those that were in later generations, so it'd also improve consistency. What is White City? - Ferret 02:42, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
White City is the city in Pokemon Stadium Gold/Silver. --Meowth346 02:46, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Thanks. That's what you get for never really touching Stadium, eh? - Ferret 02:46, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I played it for the better part of 60 or 70 hours and didn't know what it was. ^^;

Gee, I sure hope no ones rewrite 'metal' as MENTAL (lol) File:Ani475MS.gif Optimus35Talk | DP 10:22, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Select button
How do you do to make a item be used with select button? Jacce 16:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Go to it, press A, then click on Register. This only works on Key Items, by the way. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 16:37, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. By the way, on my version it stod "SEL", but it still worked. Jacce 16:40, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Starters
When you finish the Jhoto part and you are able to travel to Kanto you get to chose one Kanto starter? If so, I think it should be in the article, if not, then no! ;)--YukitoOoO 18:07, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- No Kanto starters, I'm afraid.--RexRacer 18:11, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Ok then, don't mind this, thank you!--YukitoOoO 06:00, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Accuracy
If a move has 100% accuracy, like Earthquake, it only hit 99.6% of the time in Generation I. Does it continue to do so in Gen II? Hotmedal 07:50, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yes. — THE TROM — 07:59, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- Um. According to the page you linked, you mean “No”. --WikidSmaht 10:55, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- Uh.... yeah.... Can't even claim I was overtired when I wrote that.... — THE TROM — 19:32, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Shiny Pokemon
Um... Wasnt generation 2 the first to have a shiny pokemon to be in the main storyline? (its says so in the trivia section of PMD explorers of time and darkness) --Usyflad10 05:41, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Quote that trivia: "This is the second game to feature a shiny Pokémon as part of the main storyline, with the first being the Generation II main series." Umm... yup. —darklordtrom 08:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Ending in 2001?
I don't understand, the generation did not end with the American release of Pokémon Crystal, it ending when Ruby and Sapphire were released right?--Midnight Blue 01:57, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yes as I understand it the same applies for other Generations as well as is shown below:
- Generation I ended when Pokemon Gold/Silver were released thus starting Generation II
- Generation II ended when Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire were released thus starting Generation III
- Generation III ended when Pokemon Diamond/Pearl were released thus starting Generation IV
- Generation IV will end when Pokemon Black/White are released thus starting Generation V
Therefore one generation ends when a another set of paired games are released, Remakes don't count. Pday2387 10:23, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
Prototype Pokemon Names
I was digging around my old website to find some nifty tidbits to add to Bulbapedia, and I found this page: G/S Prototype Names I didn't make any of this up, a lot of it actually came from Bulbagarden and PokeFor back in the day. Some of the interesting names:
- Xatu & Xoqo for Natu & Xatu, respectively
- Trillix for Misdreavus or Sneasel (the name "Misdreavus" is on the list, but given to Sneasel, while Misdreavus is named "Trillix"... Another piece of evidence for "Trillix"
- Duglari for Dunsparce
I wonder if some of this can appear SOMEWHERE, obviously most likely on each Pokemon's page... Whaddya think? - Nick15 06:15, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
re: English-language release
Wikipedia says Sep 4, everything else says Oct 13, both for Australia, and both before the 15th; either one's right or both are wrong. We get pushed aside for everything as it is... Frugali 00:06, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know where Bulbapedia got the date from, and Wikipedia is not even sourced so who knows. I can't find anything. --HoennMaster 04:45, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Incorrect Trivia?
I was reading this article when I came across this:
"Generation II is the only generation where: Each Pokémon has a different sprite in each game (except for Unown and a few others)."
This doesn't sound right to me. Gen I had different sprites for all of their Pokemon, so Gen II isn't the only gen to do this. In addition, Pokemon Crystal didn't make new sprites for the Pokemon - they picked a sprite from G/S and animated it. So I think this part should be removed. Coronation 01:14, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
- There's also "Generation II is the only generation where the National Pokédex cannot be completed without another generation[...]," which doesn't make sense to me. I'm pretty sure you can't obtain Dialga and Palkia, Mewtwo, Deoxys, Ho-Oh and Lugia, and the Legendary Dogs (among others) in Black/White without obtaining them from a previous generation. Please correct me if I'm wrong. // SzayelAporroGranz 03:59, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- At the first comment in this topic: I think that means that the sprites differed between games: i.e. Silver and Gold had different sprites whereas Red and Blue shared sprites.
- The second point is correct in that the article is incorrect. —darklordtrom
