An Athlete (Japanese: アスリート Athlete) is a type of Trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games, originally appearing in Pokémon Colosseum. There are male and female versions: they are generally men or women in jogging outfits with towels, sunglasses, and water bottles. They bear some resemblance to Triathletes.
