I have evidence: The other day I was playing HeartGold, fighting against the Elite Four. I thought I would send out my Crobat to beat Bruno's Machamp's face in, when much to my surprise I got owned by his Stone Edge...in the middle of me using Fly. Extremely frustrating, ended up having to use Victreebel or something. Anyway, point is, it does hurt during Fly and Bounce in HG/SS. Maybe not in D/P/Pt, hence the controversy?
