Origin
- Champion Lance is known to own at least one or several Gyarados in the Generation I and Generation II games. (As well as in their Generation III remakes and Generation IV remakes.) In the anime, Lance is also known to have two Gyarados: one blue and one red.
- Wrap is a move in the Pokémon games; however, Gyarados cannot learn it.
