Ambipom
Main article: Dawn's Ambipom

Ambipom had a natural talent for Pokémon Ping Pong and was noticed by O during the Pokémon Ping Pong Tournament. After assuming they were regular players, O couldn't believe they were beginners and during the tournament watched Ambipom closely. Even though Dawn was an average player, Ambipom helped her through to the semi-finals where they were eliminated by O and Shiftry. Afterwards O offered Ambipom a place at his Ping Pong Training Center in Vermilion City which it accepted later with Dawn's permission.
