==Route 111 (South)==

Leading north from [[Mauville City]], the lengthy {{rt|111|Hoenn}} is a unique path divided into three parts by the large desert in its center. An unrelenting sandstorm forces unprepared travelers to detour around the area. The deepest part of the desert is said to hide [[Desert Ruins|mysterious ruins]].

===The Winstrates===
The [[Winstrate family]] loves challenging visitors to battle. The head of the family, Victor, can be found outside the front door. Speak to him, and he asks if you would like to take his family on in four back-to-back battles. Defeat them one by one, then enter the house afterward and speak to Victoria to receive a [[Macho Brace]] as a reward.

===Gabby and Ty===
North of the [[Winstrate family|Winstrate]] house, the path narrows into a deep ravine with many rocks strewn about. Use {{m|Rock Smash}} to clear a way forward and reach the dirt road. It is here that you find [[Gabby and Ty]], the reporter and cameraman team that you met back in [[Slateport City]]. Accept their challenge to demonstrate your battle prowess, and they will ask for an interview afterwards. Find a [[TV]] at a later point for a chance to hear about yourself on the news!

==Route 112 (South)==

{{rt|112|Hoenn}} lies at the foot of [[Mt. Chimney]], a large volcano that can only be reached by cable car. A tunnel known as [[Fiery Path]] cuts through the mountain, connecting the south and north ends of the route. [[Jagged Pass]] and [[Lavaridge Town]] are located to the west.

===Summit Access Denied===
[[Team Magma]]{{sup/3|R}}/[[Team Aqua]]{{sup/3|S}} has dispatched a pair of Grunts to block access to the Cable Car Base Station, halting all traffic to the summit of [[Mt. Chimney]]. In addition, the elevated terrain makes westward travel impossible, so the only other way forward is a sweltering tunnel through the mountainside.

===Fiery Path===
[[Fiery Path]] leads through the base of [[Mt. Chimney]], linking the southern and northern areas of {{rt|112|Hoenn}}. The main tunnel simply serves as a shortcut, while several {{m|Strength|boulders}} block off the smaller western passages for now.

Detouring through {{rt|112|Hoenn}} and [[Fiery Path]] allows travelers to avoid the sandstorm raging to the south. Weary Pokémon can be healed at a rest stop run by an elderly woman.

===A Secret Power===
As you proceed northward, you find a boy staring at a large tree. Speak to him, and he explains that he is considering using a certain move to create a room for himself inside the tree. He gives you {{TM|43|Secret Power}} so that you can establish your own [[Secret Base]] in any of the suspicious-looking {{DL|Secret Base|Locations|trees, wall markings, and clumps of grass}} scattered throughout the region. A Trainer can decorate their Secret Base as they wish, and can display up to 16 {{DL|Decoration|Generation III decorations|decorations}}.

==Route 113==

Located between {{rt|111|Hoenn}} to the east and [[Fallarbor Town]] to the west, {{rt|113|Hoenn}} is constantly covered in [[volcanic ash]] by the same wind patterns that keep [[Verdanturf Town]]'s air clear and fresh. This abundant resource is used by the {{DL|Hoenn Route 113|Glass Workshop}} to craft unique items.

===Glass Workshop===
The {{DL|Hoenn Route 113|Glass Workshop}} is located in the northwest part of the route. Speak to the owner to receive a [[Soot Sack]] in order to begin collecting ash. The powder is then obtained by walking through ash-covered grass in the area. After gathering enough units, it can then be exchanged for glass items and furniture.
