Release information

In Japan, this card was released as one of the SM-P Promotional cards and was available as part of the Team Rainbow Rocket's Ambition campaign. Starting January 20, 2018 for as long as stocks lasted, customers at participating Pokémon Centers (including the Pokémon Center Online) and Pokémon Stores who purchased five booster packs in one transaction could select to receive 1 of 7 Pretend Boss Pikachu promotional cards.

Trivia

Origin

The Pikachu in the illustration wears an outfit resembling that of Team Flare's Lysandre. The A Beautiful World? attack references Lysandre's ambition to create a new, beautiful world in his own image. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Moon.
