Effect

In battle

Normalize makes all moves used by the Pokémon with this Ability act as the Normal-type instead of their ordinary typing.

Outside of battle

Normalize doesn't have any effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, as well as previously mentioned effects, Normalize turns the standard attack into a Normal-type move. It will also turn Toss items into Normal-type attacks, will gain STAB, and will apply resistances and immunities. This doesn't apply to fixed damage items (e.g. Gravelerock, Unown Stones, Geo Pebble etc.)
