Release information

This card was released as a SWSH Black Star Promo and was available in the Celebrations Collection—Lance's Charizard V, the Celebrations Tins, and the Celebrations Collection—V Memories from October 8, 2021. The Celebrations Collection—Lance's Charizard V and Celebrations Collection—V Memories also included a Jumbo version of this card.

In Indonesia, this card was released as a S-P Promotional card and distributed as the champion prize for the Time Gazer/Space Juggler New Expansion Championships, held at participating Pokémon Card Gym stores from July 29 to August 21, 2022; and the Dark Phantasma New Expansion Championships, held from August 26 to September 22, 2022. Participants in each championship event must compete using decks which contain at least 4 Pokémon cards from their respective expansions.[1][2]

Trivia

This card was banned from the 2022 World Championships due to not being distributed worldwide.

Origin

Lance owns a Charizard in Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, their remakes Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, and in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! Flamethrower is a move in the Pokémon games that Charizard can learn.
