Exp. All

  • Japanese: がくしゅうそうち Educative Device

If the player has the Exp. All in their bag, experience gained in battle will be divided evenly between the members of the player's party, as long as they are not fainted. This item is only available in Generation I. In Generation II, and all subsequent generations, it was known as the Exp. Share. Despite the Japanese name staying the same, its effect and international names changed.

  • Effect: Divides experience points gained in battle evenly to members of the player's party.

  • Japanese: がくしゅうそうち Educative Device

A Pokémon may hold the Exp. Share. When they are holding it, experience gets divided evenly among all party members holding this item and Pokémon that battled and do not have the Exp. Share (e.g. a Pokémon earns 600 experience points, two other party Pokémon are holding an Exp. Share, each will receive 200 experience points). The experience given to the Pokémon not holding the Exp. Share(s) is then divided evenly among any Pokémon that battled. One can be found in each game from Generation II onwards, and extra ones may be won through several in-game lotteries involving Trainer ID numbers.

  • Japanese: しあわせタマゴ Lucky Egg

In Generation III, Pokémon holding the Lucky Egg gain double the normal amount of experience they would have earned at the end of a battle. It may be obtained in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness by completing a side-quest mission or found held by wild Chansey in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.

In Generation IV, Pokémon holding the Lucky Egg gain 150% of the normal amount of experience they would have earned at the end of a battle. Like in FireRed and LeafGreen, it is found held by wild Chansey. However, there is only about a 5% chance of Chansey holding a Lucky Egg.
