Trivia

  • This is the last episode to use hand-colored cel animation.
  • Brock's pupils are seen at the beginning of this episode.
  • Not only are Slowking rare, but the talking one in The Power of One is even rarer, as the Slowking in this episode can only say its own name.

Errors

  • When told that no one knew that the King's Rock existed, the group forget that one was just used to evolve Misty's Poliwhirl 12 episodes previously.
  • Team Rocket 'blasts off' 2 times, but at the second time, a strip-repeat was evident; in the first 'blast off' Jessie's Arbok and James' Weezing was out. But in the second time they never did send both out, but they blast off with both Arbok and Weezing still flying off.
