The ancient hero (Japanese: 古代の英雄 Ancient Hero) is a character from the backstory of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

History

Legends say that he, along with his ten companions, sought out all of Arceus's Plates in order to meet the Pokémon itself. After finding them, he managed to defeat Arceus in battle, earning the being's respect. In addition, his Pokémon received blessings from Arceus,[1] which they used to protect the people and Pokémon of Hisui.[2]

Pokémon

The legendary hero had befriended a group of ten Pokémon: Kleavor, Lilligant, Arcanine, Electrode, Avalugg, Wyrdeer, Ursaluna, Basculegion, Sneasler, and Braviary. This group of Pokémon eventually had descendants in the form of Hisui's ten Noble and Ride Pokémon, which would be cared for by the wardens of the Diamond and Pearl Clans. Statues of the hero's partners were built at the Temple of Sinnoh, although these statues, along with a majority of the temple, were destroyed at the climax of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Befriended

The Pokémon the hero had befriended during his travels and that as years passed, became the ancestors of the Noble and Ride Pokémon the present of the Hisui region.

None of their moves were known.
