Six Island (Japanese: 6のしま Island 6) is a small town, much like Five Island, and is on a large island called Fortune Island. Six Island is the only city or town in the history of Pokémon to not have a route it borders end at the entrance, instead having the Water Path exist as a route passing by the town.
Many say that the view of the stars in Six Island is amazing, away from the bright city lights of more populated regions such as Kanto.
Similar to Five Island, and its counterpart, Seven Island, not much emphasis is put on the area within the town itself, instead the vast area near the island is the target of a Trainer's true calling. This includes Ruin Valley, the Dotted Hole at the center of which holds the Sapphire deep below it.
The background music used in Six Island is a remix of the music played in Violet City and Olivine City of Johto.
Upon entering the Pokémon Center in town, Blue tells the player that he has seen enough of the Sevii Islands and that he is returning to Kanto to work on his Pokédex. It is after this that he returns to claim the title of Pokémon Champion with his new team of Pokémon.
