Pikachu's Rescue Adventure (Japanese: ピカチュウたんけんたい The Pikachu Expedition) is a short film that was aired with the feature film Pokémon 2000. In it, Pikachu and friends must rescue lost Togepi.

Synopsis

Poor Togepi falls down a steep hill and disappears into a hole. Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Marill, Venonat and Psyduck follow and end up in a giant tree which Pikachu appears to have lived in before, as it is reunited with an old friend, Elekid. Elekid leads the six to Togepi, who has unfortunately been mistaken for an Exeggcute and the five Exeggcute prevent it from leaving without them. Squirtle realizes that the sixth is missing and Togepi is its replacement. Pikachu, Elekid and the others rush off in search of the missing Exeggcute. They encounter a group of Bellossom who perform a musical number with several other Pokémon. Pikachu and Elekid spend some time having fun when they are separated from the others, and briefly encounter Meowth who has gotten lost while searching for a campsite. A deadly storm soon appears overhead, and its rain, harsh winds and lightning bolts cause mayhem and endanger Togepi and the Exeggcute. Pikachu, the others, a Snorlax and other Pokémon help the Exeggcute and each other until the storm departs. Ironically, a Chansey appears after the storm has passed with the missing Exeggcute. The six Exeggcute are reunited and suddenly evolve into Exeggutor using a Leaf Stone that lies nearby. Pikachu has an emotional goodbye with its friends, before heading back to where Ash, Misty and Tracey wait.
