Own Tempo (Japanese: マイペース My Pace) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Twenty Pokémon can have this Ability.
Effect
In battle
Own Tempo prevents confusion, even if it is self-inflicted (such as from Thrash or a Berry). If a confused Pokémon gains this Ability via Skill Swap or similar, it will be immediately cured of its confusion. If a Pokémon with this Ability is switched into battle through Baton Pass by a confused Pokémon, the confusion will not be passed on.
Outside of battle
Own Tempo has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia

- Of course, many Outrage users often hold a Lum Berry or a Persim Berry to avoid confusion once.
