Kenny's Prinplup (Japanese: ケンゴのポッタイシ Kengo's Pottaishi) is Kenny's main Pokémon in the anime. It is also his starter Pokémon. It is voiced by 小西克幸 Katsuyuki Konishi in Japanese and by Bill Rogers in English.

Prinplup was first seen in Getting the Pre-Contest Titters!. It proved to be very strong when it was battling against Ash's Pikachu despite its disadvantage. In the next episode, it put up a good fight against Dawn's Piplup. At first Prinplup didn't want to befriend its weaker, pre-evolved form, but after being saved by Piplup, they soon became friends.

Prinplup also made a cameo with Kenny in Throwing the Track Switch.

Prinplup was next seen in Team Shocker! where it helped Kenny get to the final round of the Solaceon Town Contest, but eventually lost to Jessie's Dustox.

Prinplup again made a cameo with Kenny on television in A Breed Stampede!. It is shown that it has helped him earned his third ribbon.

It also appeared in DP122. In the following episode, it defeated Dawn's Ambipom in the Tatsunami Town Contest, earning Kenny his fourth ribbon.
