Heart Swap is a Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV that swaps stat effects between Pokémon on the field. It is also Manaphy's Signature move.

In the anime

When Manaphy uses Heart Swap in the anime, it causes both trainers and Pokémon to temporarily switch bodies with each other.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Manaphy swaps Zelda and DK's hearts.

Manaphy uses Heart Swap when coming out of a Poké Ball. This switches the control of the one who sent it out with another character in the match, and vice-versa. Damage from their original bodies carries over, and should anyone be knocked out, the original bodies will lose lives.
