The Goldenrod Game Corner is a Game Corner located in Goldenrod City, Johto. Its games are identical to those of the Celadon Game Corner in the Generation II games, but its prizes are different.

Games

Slot machines

One to three coins can be put in the slot machine each play. One coin will only count the center row across, two coins will count all three rows across, and three coins will count all three rows across as well as both diagonals. The reels stop spinning when you press the A button.

In the second generation games, several Golem will drop when two 7's are lined up. This improves the chances of lining up three 7's.

Card Flip

Main article: Card flip

The Card Flip game is exclusive to Generation II. The player can pick either a card or a group of cards, making it much like Roulette. The deck has 24, each one with a number between 1 and 6 and a picture of one of four Pokémon (Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Oddish, or Poliwag). Bets can be placed by single card, by single column, by single row, by a pair of columns, or by a pair of rows. A two-column bet can only be made by pairing Pikachu and Jigglypuff or by pairing Oddish and Poliwag; a two-row bet can only be made by pairing an odd number and the next higher even number (1 and 2, 3 and 4, or 5 and 6). Winning a bet by space returns pays out 24 times the bet amount; by single number, 6 times; by single Pokémon, 4 times; by two numbers, 3 times; by two Pokémon, 2 times. A by-species or by-number bet may increase its payout if some of the possibilities are taken off the board; the entire deck is reshuffled once 12 cards have been drawn.
