A forest is a secluded, wooded area in the Pokémon world. They tend to have Grass- and Template:Type2 Pokémon like Caterpie although Pokémon based on animals that live in the forest such as Pidgey may be found. In total there are 109 known forests in the Pokémon world. In each main series region there is one major forest (Viridian Forest in Kanto, Ilex Forest in Johto, Petalburg Woods in Hoenn, Relic Forest in Orre, and Eterna Forest in Sinnoh).
General description
Forests are in almost every region of the Pokémon world although they are uncommon. In the Pokémon games, they are mostly mazes.
