Farigiraf (Japanese: リキキリン Rikikirin) is a dual-type Normal/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.

It evolves from Girafarig.

Biology

Due to Girafarig's evolution, both of its heads fused into one. Farigiraf's brains are connected to a thick nerve, allowing it to increase its psychic energy and unleash psychic waves through its antennas. It is always observing its surroundings and will react if dangers detected. However, Farigiraf's body cannot move as fast as its two brains.

Farigiraf's thick, study head tail serves as both offense and defense for the inner head. When attacking, Farigiraf closes its tail head before using its long neck for a brutal physical attack. This neck attack is powerful enough to destroy both stone and steel beams.[1]

Trivia

  • Like its pre-evolution, Farigiraf's name is a palindrome.

Origin

Farigiraf appears to be based on a giraffe. Its two heads fused within each other bears resemblance to an astronaut's helmet.

Name origin

Farigiraf may be an inversion of Girafarig.

Rikikirin may be derived from 力 riki (power) and 麒麟 kirin (giraffe) with the name being an anagram of キリンリキ Kirinriki (Girafarig).
