Enta (Japanese: エンタ Enta) is the main character from Pokémon Battle Frontier. He is a young boy who wants to be a strong Pokémon Trainer.

History

He receives an invitation from Scott to enter the Battle Frontier but is unable to compete with the professionals. He solves this by befriending Rald and Mitsuki to teach him how to battle better.

Enta is hyperactive, and his clothes resemble a miniature version of Brendan's from Pokémon Emerald.

Enta's first Pokémon was his Vulpix and they have a strong bond.

Pokémon

		Vulpix → Ninetales
		Ninetales is Enta's very first Pokémon who was obtained as a Vulpix. Enta has trusted this Vulpix ever since he received it, and relied on it for many of the battles it encountered. He evolves it into a Ninetales in the final chapter. Enta then uses Ninetales against Anabel's Entei as both of their other two Pokémon were unable to battle. After a long fight, the match ended in a draw. Ninetales's known moves are Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Overheat and Return, and its ability is Flash Fire.

		Tropius
		Tropius is another one of Enta's Pokémon. It first appeared while Enta was challenging the Battle Pyramid. When Enta was hungry, Tropius offered Enta a banana with the help of Illumise and Vulpix. Tropius also helped him get to the top of the pyramid after defeating a Machamp. Tropius's only known move is Sunny Day.

		Illumise ♀
		Illumise was the third Pokémon revealed. She first appeared while Enta was challenging the Battle Pyramid. She helped Enta get a banana from Tropius when he was hungry. Illumise also helped him get to the top of the pyramid after defeating a Machamp. Illumise's known moves are Double Team and Baton Pass.

		Feebas → Milotic
		Enta encountered a Feebas before his battle with Dome Ace Tucker. Later after meeting him, Feebas single-handily defeated Tucker's Pokémon with Blizzard after activating Swift Swim due to the fact that Vulpix's Flamethrower burned a hole in the roof, letting the rain in. Tucker did not accept the fact that it was able to defeat his Pokémon as it was too ugly. After the battle, it evolved into a Milotic, changing Tucker's mind and proving him wrong. It has been used in a battle with Lucy where it was taken out by one of Lucy's Pokémon and was with Enta before battling Anabel. Milotic's only known move is Blizzard, and its ability is Swift Swim*.

		Zangoose
		Enta obtained Zangoose before he entered the Battle Frontier. It was in a state of rage since then and Enta wasn't able to calm it down. However, when Zangoose fought its rival, Seviper, Enta jumped in so it wouldn't get hurt. This made Zangoose very happy with its Trainer and was able to defeat Seviper. Zangoose's known moves are Counter and Crush Claw, and its ability is Immunity.

Trivia

• He is based on the apprentices from Hoenn's Battle Tower in Pokémon Emerald. These apprentices ask the player to tutor them in Double Battles, just like Rald was Enta's tutor in the manga.
