Electrify (Japanese: そうでん Electrify) is a non-damaging Electric-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of Helioptile and Heliolisk.

Effect

If the target has not yet moved, Electrify makes the target's move Electric-type for that turn.

If the move Flying Press is changed by Electrify, it becomes an Electric/Flying-type move, but it only counts as Electric when determining STAB.

If the move Freeze-Dry is changed by Electrify, its ability to hit Water-type Pokémon super effectively does not stack with its Electric typing (a Water-type Pokémon hit by the move will only take ×2 damage).

Description

Games Description
If the target is electrified before it uses a move during that turn, the target's move becomes Electric type.
