Try for the Family Stone! (Japanese: ムウマとヤミカラスとやみのいし! Muma, Yamikarasu and the Dark Stone!) is the 148th episode of the Diamond & Pearl series, and the 614th episode of the Pokémon anime. It aired in Japan on October 22, 2009 and in the United States on March 13, 2010.
Synopsis
Template:Incomplete synopsis Still on the way to Sunyshore City so Ash can battle for his eighth and final Gym Badge, the gang meet a female Trainer and her Misdreavus who are battling a Murkrow for a Dusk Stone, which has the power to evolve Misdreavus into a Mismagius. However it can also evolve Murkow into a Honchkrow, so it seems the Trainer has a fight on her hands...

Trivia
- Rhyanna's Pokédex as seen in this episode appears to represent the Ice Blue edition of the Nintendo DS Lite that was released in 2008 (similar to how the Pokédex typically represents the latest released Nintendo handheld system).
- The small shrine seen in this episode has a striking resemblance to Celebi's shrine that appeared in the fourth movie.
- The episode's title is most likely a reference to the band Sly and the Family Stone.
- The preview of the next episode was narrated by both Ash and Dawn.
- This was the last new episode to air before the English release of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
- Though Ash already saw Giratina in movie 11 and 12, he took his Pokédex out during their encounter with the illusion Giratina.
- Near the beginning of the episode, Murkrow's pupil was striking similar to a Poké Ball — specifically, the design used on the DS touchscreen's background during a battle in Generation IV games.
