Pluto is a leading Team Galactic officer introduced in Pokémon Platinum.

In the games

Pluto is first seen along with Mars at Valley Windworks during an attack. He does not have a speaking role during this time, though he can clearly be seen near Mars as a background character.

Gradually through the course of the game, the player discovers that Pluto is, in fact, a commander, as well as discovering his actual name in the first place.

Pluto's role in the game expands after the player defeats the Elite Four and obtains the National Dex. After Cyrus retreats into the Torn World, Pluto takes over Team Galactic and becomes the new leader. He takes Mars and Jupiter with him to the Battle Zone so he can retrieve the Magma Rock from inside Stark Mountain and capture Heatran. However, once the player encounters them, Mars and Jupiter quit because "things were more exciting when Cyrus was the leader." It is also at this time that the international police officer Handsome, who had been hunting Team Galactic since the beginning of the game, arrests Pluto. He is not seen or heard from since.

According to a journal in Galactic HQ, Rotom was his childhood friend after his toy robot has gone lost. Pluto could not hug it (let alone any physical contact) due to obvious reasons. After a period of time, Rotom discharged electricity and Pluto fainted. When he woke up, Rotom possessed Pluto's toy robot and Pluto hugged it.
