(Japanese: サトシのムックル Satoshi's Mukubird) is the first Pokémon that Ash Ketchum caught in the Sinnoh region； it was a Mukkuru. It is voiced by 古島清孝 Kiyotaka Furushima.
Ash caught Mukkuru in DP002 while searching for Pikachu, who was missing due to the antics of Team Rocket. Ash's Aipom was swinging through the trees and accidentally bumped into Mukkuru, so the two Pokémon battled. Weakened by Aipom, Mukkuru was captured and immediately used in the search for Pikachu.
In DP003, Mukkuru battled another Mukkuru belonging to Shinji and lost. Despite proving itself to be more powerful than Ash's Mukkuru, Shinji released his back into the wild, apparently disappointed with its performance.
In DP013, Mukkuru evolved into Mukubird during a battle with Team Rocket. After evolving, Mukubird has started to shie more, showing its Flying prowess more often with more brute strength.
