Acupressure (Japanese: つぼをつく Point Strike) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Generation IV

Acupressure chooses one of the user's Stats at random and raises it by two stages. It can raise either the user's Attack, Defense, Speed, Special Attack, Special Defense, Accuracy or Evasion stat. Acupressure will fail if the user is under the effects of Substitute.

In a double battle, Acupressure may also be used on an ally to raise one of its stats chosen at random.

Generation V

When a Pokémon is under the effects of Substitute, it can successfully use Acupressure on itself, but Acupressure used on it by an ally will fail.
