Trivia

  • The English dub is based on the phrase "going, going, gone"

Errors

  • Before Flannery and Ash begin their gym battle, their Pokémon aren't seen on the field when Team Rocket spies on them.
  • Ash says that this is Flannery's first Gym battle, however, in the previous episode Flannery says that the challenger in her last battle liked to use Dig.
  • During the battle, Flannery's Magcargo uses reflect to resist Corphish's vicegrip attack, later when ash used crabhammer on Magcargo, (to get through the sandstorm) reflect appeared to have no effect at all. Then, reflect seemed to come back when Ash's Treeko uses pound and quick attack, and when Pikachu uses quick attack.
  • When Flannery's Torkoal used Flamethrower on Ash's Corphish, it emerged from its shell like it had just used Iron Defense, even though it hadn't used it.
  • During the Trainer's Choice, Forretress' name is missing an r.
  • In the Trainer's Choice the answer was Seviper although Forretress is immune to Poison.
