8 is a Generation I Glitch Pokémon. Although it cannot be obtained by the player without using a cheating device, it is still well-known among the Pokémon glitch community because it appears in the teams of many glitch Trainers. When it is sent out, it changes the music to a slowed-down version of the treble of the battle music from the final battle with the player's rival. This effect remains for the rest of the battle. 8 is a hybrid of Onix.

8 (or rather, a glitch Trainer with an 8) can be encountered in two ways without cheating: encounter a glitch trainer through the Old Man Glitch, or perform Method #3 of the Mew Glitch using a Pokémon with a Special stat of 253.
