Sarah Natochenny is a voice actor for the English-language dub of the Pokémon anime.

Biography

Sarah Natochenny was born September 20, 1987 in Forest Hills, New York. She is formally trained improvisational, and theatre actress, and has appeared in a number of commercials and independent short films as well as theatrical productions in the New York area. Among some of her other noted skills, she speaks fluent Russian, and plays Piano.

Pokémon

Sarah Natochenny started her career with Pokémon beginning with the redub of The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon, where she played Ash. Since then, she has played several different roles in the series.

She has stated that her favorite Pokémon are Mew and Pikachu.

Controversy

After The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon dub, Natochenny was cast as Ash to replace Kayzie Rogers. However, several fans immediately protested the change. At the time, she had very little experience as a voice actress, and many Pokémon fans complained about her lack of emotion.
