Shauna (Japanese: シノブ Shinobu) is a minor recurring character of the Pokémon anime and a minor trainer in Generation III games.

In the anime

She appeared in A Meditite Fight and Just One of the Geysers. Her Japanese voice actress is 松岡由貴 Yuki Matsuoka and her English voice actress is Lisa Ortiz.

Shauna first appeared to challenge Ash Ketchum after she heard about him losing to Brawly, her mentor. She fought with her Meditite against Ash's Pikachu and ended up losing. She told Ash and his friends that she was the apprentice and girlfriend of Brawly which they found out later wasn't true after May asked her about it in front of him. Shauna felt really sorry about lying but Brawly forgave her.

Due to a dubbing error, 4Kids Entertainment named her "Shauna" rather than "Tessa". This is similar to the situation that happened with Shelly and Tabitha being named Isabelle and Harlan, respectively.
