The lookalike items are items that appear in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

Similarities and Differences

They look like and are based off regular items and have almost exactly the same descripiton. However, they have differences in their names (usually subtle spelling changes), a question mark at the end of the description, and will have different effects; normally it is the opposite effect of the item it is imitating.

Oren Berry

Based off: Oran Berry

Effect: Damages the eater by 10 HP.

Reviser Seed

Based off: Reviver Seed

Effect: Does not revive the user - instead, it revives them and then faints them AGAIN. It turns into a Plain Seed anyhow, though.

Via Seed

Based off: Vile Seed

Effect: Warps user to another area on the same floor after saying something.

Slip Seed

Based off: Sleep Seed

Effect: Allows user to walk on water.

Dough Seed

Based off: Doom Seed

Effect: Makes more Poké appear on the next floor of the Dungeon. Does not work in Aegis Cave.

Dropeye Seed

Based off: Eyedrop Seed

Effect: Darkens the dungeon, significantly reducing the line of vision for the user.

Mix Elixir

Based off: Max Elixir

Effect: Restores PP, but only to Linoone.

Gone Pebble

Based off: Geo Pebble

Effect: Gives the user an Endure status after a quick scene.

Gravelyrock

Based off: Gravelerock

Effect: Can be eaten to slightly fill the belly. Also increases IQ, but only for Bonsly and Sudowoodo.

Wander Gummi

Based off: Wonder Gummi

Effect: Gives user Blinker status.

No-Slip Cap

Based off: No-Stick Cap

Effect: When held, items in the Treasure Bag will start to turn sticky.

Gaggle Specs

Based off: Goggle Specs

Effect: Makes it more likely for a wild Pokémon to find the player.

Y-Ray Specs

Based off: X-Ray Specs

Effect: Disables the ability to see items and enemies. If held by an enemy or an ally, they will receive the Blink status which causes them to walk forward in a straight line and attack if it cannot move any further.
