This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art card, and as a Secret Rainbow Rare in the Unbroken Bonds expansion, first released in the Japanese Night Unison subset, each with artwork by 5ban Graphics.

Origin
Shinobi Mastery's Japanese name is that of Ninjutsu, a Warrior Skill first introduced in Pokémon Conquest. Shinobi Mastery's effect references both Koga's Trap and Janine, cards which feature Koga and Janine respectively. Koga uses a Venomoth in every game except for Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, Pokémon FireRed, and Pokémon LeafGreen, Janine uses a Venomoth in all of her core series appearances.
