Oobemu appears to be based on an alien or extraterrestrial.

Name origin

Oobemu's name is derived from 大 or ooki, meaning large, and the acronym B.E.M., or "bug-eyed monster", an old-fashioned term for alien that was popularized in Japan by the anime Yōkai Ningen Bemu.
