'''Cherrie''' is the [[character of the day]] from ''[[EP156|The Psychic Sidekicks]]''.  She is a [[Pokémon trainer]] who lives in Len Town (somewhere in the [[Ilex Forest]]). She owns a strong Psychic Pokémon {{p|Girafarig}}.

While [[Ash Ketchum|Ash]] and [[Ash's friends|his friends]] were traveling to get to [[Goldenrod City]], they noticed a mysterious tail in the bushes. Ash thought it was a {{t|Ghost}}-type [[Pokémon]], until Cherrie said it was a friendly Girafarig. Quickly they became good rivals. One time, she asked Ash to challenge her so she can prove she is worthy to become a {{t|Psychic}} [[Pokémon master]]. After a harsh battle, she ended up losing because Girafarig was paralyzed from {{p|Pikachu}}'s [[Thunder]] attack.
Her ultimate goal is to become a {{t|Psychic}} [[Pokémon master]]. To prove her worth, she challenged [[Ash Ketchum|Ash]] to a battle. Unfortunately, [[Ash's Pikachu|Pikachu]] caused her {{p|Girafarig}} to become [[Paralysis|Paralyzed]], and it fainted. But Cherrie decided not to give up.


Later on, a supersized {{p|Gengar}} swallowed Psychic Pokémon in one gulp. It was [[Team Rocket]]. Cherrie became angry about that so she told Girafarig to fire a {{M|Confusion}}, but it got reflected. Next came a {{M|Psybeam}}, but other than being reflected, she and Ash were protecting Girafarig from being hit by Psybeam. They ended up being confused. Cherrie told Girafarig to use {{M|Future Sight}}.  After that, Cherrie felt a mysterious vision of Pikachu dodging Gengar's tongue and warned Ash about that. Before it was too late, Pikachu was lifted by Confusion. Since the tongue was stretched out, it couldn't stretch more, so Pikachu fired a Thunder Attack, then a wind came in. It was Future Sight, and it destroyed Team Rocket's Robo-Gengar and ended up blasting off again. Ash and his friends congratulated her for her first victory. After Ash and his friends leave Len Town, Cherrie vows that she and Girafarig will bond together to become strong and unbeatable in the future.

Her ultimate goal is to become a Psychic Pokémon master. To prove her worth, she challenged Ash to a battle. Unfortunately, Pikachu caused her Girafarig to become Paralyzed, and it fainted. But Cherrie decided not to give up.
