The ancient hero (Japanese: 古代の英雄 Ancient Hero) is a character from the backstory of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

History

Legends say that the anceint hero travel across the Hisui region to search for the 18 Plates of Arceus in order to meet the Pokémon itself. During his quest, he was aided ten different Pokémon companions found within the region. They were called Wyrdeer, Kleavor, Ursaluna, Hisuian Lilligant, Basculegion, Hisuian Arcanine, Sneasler, Hisuian Electrode, Hisuian Braviary, and Hisuian Avalugg. Together, they located the 18 plates and then travel to [[[Mount Coronet]] in order to meet Almighty Sinnoh .

At the top of Mount Coronet, the ancient hero managed to defeat Arceus in battle, earning the being's respect. In addition, his 10 Pokémon received blessings from Arceus after being struck them down ten times each.[1]They would become the very first Noble Pokémon and Ride Pokémon (Hisui). Thus, the ancient hero and his ten companions become the protectors of the humans and Pokémon of Hisui.[2]The Temple of Sinnoh was then built to honor the ancient hero and his 10 Pokémon who were blessed by Arceus.

Pokémon

The legendary hero had befriended a group of ten Pokémon: Kleavor, Lilligant, Arcanine, Electrode, Avalugg, Wyrdeer, Ursaluna, Basculegion, Sneasler, and Braviary. This group of Pokémon eventually had descendants in the form of Hisui's ten Noble and Ride Pokémon, which would be cared for by the wardens of the Diamond and Pearl Clans. Statues of the hero's partners were built at the Temple of Sinnoh, although these statues, along with a majority of the temple, were destroyed at the climax of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Befriended

The Pokémon the hero had befriended during his travels and that as years passed, became the ancestors of the Noble and Ride Pokémon the present of the Hisui region.

None of their moves were known.
