X Speed cards were first made available to purchase from the in-game shop on October 30, 2024 worldwide (September 26, 2024 in New Zealand) for 2 Shop Tickets each. One copy of X Speed is also awarded to players who complete the mission "08: Play an Item card!" in the Battle Guide.

Trivia

• Leaf has a more potent version of this card's effect, but as a Supporter card instead of an Item card.
• This card's effect is similar to Air Balloon in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, but this card is an Item card rather than a Pokémon Tool card (so only applies for one turn rather than perpetually) and reduces the Pokémon's Retreat Cost by 1 instead of 2.

Origin

• X Speed is an item in the Pokémon games that temporarily boosts a Pokémon's Speed stat when used during battle. This card depicts an X Speed as it appears in the majority of core series games.
