Town meeting
When you return to the Pokémon Center Professor Tangrowth will call a town meeting to discuss what should be done with Onix. The team decides that the rocks surrounding the Rock-type snake need to be wet so they are soft enough to break. Unfortunately, we don't have enough Water-type Pokémon to soak them, so instead we decide to make it rain.
Professor Tangrowth says that we should recruit a Slowpoke to the camp in order to encourage the weather to change. We did everything we need to do to get Slowpoke to settle in the area in Part 5 of this walkthrough, so now all we need to do is get them to come to the Pokémon Center.
Bringing Slowpoke back home
Walk down to the beach where we set up the Seaside Tall Grass habitat and a Slowpoke should have moved in. Talk to them to add them to your Pokédex. You will need to speak to them a few more times until they say they will (slowly) make their way to the Pokémon Center.
When Slowpoke arrives (it may take some time), talk to Professor Tangrowth again and they will tell you that the plan to make it rain is to make Slowpoke yawn. However, Slowpoke says they aren't feeling very sleepy and Professor Tangrowth only rates the yawn at a 70. He says that it will need to be at 100 in order to make it rain. This will launch the important request Yawn up a storm.
How to raise humidity
The group suggests raising the humidity in order to make Slowpoke feel more sleepy. Spray Slowpoke with Water Gun and ask Slowpoke to yawn again. This will only boost the yawn rating to 71, but is a necessary step to progress this mission. Professor Tangrowth suggests asking Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur for their opinions.
Speaking to the trio, they will all request new types of habitat and give you the plans so that you know how to build them. The habitats need to be built near to the Pokémon Center so that the humidity in the area rises. This involves breaking any leaking blocks to get the water flowing in the main part of the area. This will also allow you to build more different types of habitat near the Pokémon Center like the Hydrated Tall Grass habitat, and Field of Flowers habitat.
Getting ready for the Rain Dance party
After you have completed these requests, return to Slowpoke and ask them to yawn again. This yawn will receive an 80 rating so it's not quite humid enough yet. Squirtle will then have a new request. They suggest throwing a Rain Party to moisten things up.
Get Squirtle to follow you and speak to Professor Tangrowth. They will tell you that you can grab some Castform Dolls from his cave to decorate the party. Go back up the steps to the top of the hill and back into the cave where you first woke up. You'll see a sparkle in Professor Tangrowth's shopping cart, which is where you can pick up the Castform Dolls.
Party on
Return to the Pokémon Center, and place the two dolls on a wall with a space in the middle. Here you should place a plate with a Leppa Berry. You can buy plates at the PC or craft them. If you have done this correctly you will get the notification that it is now a Rain Dance Site habitat.
Speak to Slowpoke again and ask them to yawn. Finally, Professor Tangrowth will rate this yawn at a 100, and the heavens will open allowing it to finally rain. Unfortunately, this rainfall is short-lived, and Slowpoke says they're not able to yawn again. We need to find another way to make it rain.
