Smashing time
Now we've reached level 2, we're ready to learn some new moves that will help us with developing our environment. There are three Pokémon here who can help out, by teaching us new transform skills.
The first and most important move is probably Rock Smash. Give Hirmonchan a few stones and they will teach you this very useful move in return. They will also request that you clear out a rock pile, including the rocks in the ground on one of the paths. It's important that you remember this pattern of rocks, as they will often be hiding a shortcut to a new area once broken.
After you've cleared things up Hitmonchan will have one final request. They'll ask you to climb to the top of the hill and clear out some blocks to grab the item in the middle. This is the Dowsing Machine and as long as it's in your inventory you'll be able to see glowing rocks, which will have something valuable inside.
Cut master
By this time, Scyther should have moved into our Tree-shaded Tall Grass habitat. After they are registered in the Pokédex, give them two of your sturdy sticks so that they will teach you Cut. This is the fourth move that we will learn via Transform. This will allow you to get rid of any patches of grass you don't want, and clear out any wooden debris.
Ploughing the fields
The final important skill we can learn is Rototiler. Now we have Rock Smash, we have access to the area to the right of the area where the Pokémon Center rubble is. You'll notice the rocks here are the same type as the ones Himonchan asked us to break. Break through these to reveal a tunnel through to a new area.
When you walk through this area a Drilbur with a request to irrigate the land. A little further down this path is a block with water leaking out up on the cliff. You can use blocks that you have smashed up to make your way up the side of the cliff and break through this rock. Now that the river is flowing, you can return to Drilbur and they will teach you Rototiler, which you can use for digging up plants and hedges.
You can then create a habitat for Drilbur. Use Rototiler to till 8 patches of soil, and then plant some vegetable seeds, this will create the Fresh Veggie Field habitat. If you don't have any vegetable seeds you can purchase some bean seeds at the PC. Don't forget to water the veggies, and use a Pokémon with the Grow skill such as Bulbasaur to get things started.
Timburr the builder
We have our skills and we are ready to make ourselves at home. Talk to Professor Tangrowth and he will suggest that you build a home for yourself. You can purchase Leaf Den Kits from the shop on the PC for 50 Life Coins.
The kits cover a 2x2 area, and you just need to place it where you'd like to live. Once you have put it in, place 3 sturdy sticks and 3 leaves in the box and ask the Pokémon listed to follow you back to the site. You can then assign them to the task and they'll start building.
Your new home
After five minutes have passed you can talk to Timburr to unveil your Leaf Den. You will then need to place three pieces of furniture inside, which can either be crafted at the workbench or purchased from the PC. Crawl into the hut and place the furniture, and your house will become a home.
Charmander will then have a request for you. Talk to them, and ask them to follow you. Talk to Professor Tangrowth, and they will ask Charmander to collect some berries to celebrate the building of the new house. However, they trip on the way back, and the berries are ruined. Luckily, Professor Tangrowth turns the berry juice into a beautiful Ditto flag, and you are ready to mark your territory.
Place the flag on top of your home and return to Professor Tangrowth in order to finish the request. This will begin your first official Important Request, Rebuild the Pokémon Center.
