Booting up the PC
With the tutorial complete you will have a lot more freedom with how you work on your environment. Pokopia is extremely open and you could easily spend hundreds of hours rebuilding the town, finding new habitats and gathering Pokémon. This walkthrough is not exhaustive, but will mention everything required to make it through the main story beats.
When you wake up Professor Tangrowth will ask you to meet here near the broken down Pokémon Center. You can find a path to this near the workbench you set up yesterday. Interact with the PC and it will tell you that the environment isn't good enough. It will then add the Poké Life app to the main screen so you can complete challenges and work your way towards a better rating.
Challenges approaching
The first tasks you need to complete include finding more Pokémon, watering more trees, and picking up more sturdy sticks. You can find dead trees to water and sturdy sticks to pick up all over the map so these tasks should be easy enough to complete.
Adding more Pokémon to the Pokédex requires building different types of habitat. In Part 1 of this walkthrough we made the Pretty Flower Bed habitat and the Tree-shaded Tall Grass habitat. However, there are two more very important Pokémon that we should also build habitats for.
A fighting duo
Behind the Pokémon Center you will see your first large boulder. Make sure there are four patches of watered tall grass around it to make the Boulder-shaded Tall Grass habitat. Once built it shouldn't take long for a Timburr to move in. Timburr doesn't have a move they can teach us, but their skills at building will be very important soon.
You can also find a bench in this area, and to the left a long abandoned house with a punching bag inside the ruins. Pick up the bag with Y, and then place it next to the bench near Timburr's boulder. This will create the Exercise Resting Spot habitat, and encourage a Hitmonchan to move in
One last task
Once you have completed the three challenges return to the PC and turn them in. You will be rewarded with Life Coins, and the shop will be opened. Next we want to level up, but to do this we will need to make sure that the Pokémon living in the Wastelands are as comfortable as possible.
Talk to Professor Tangrowth, and he will tell you to talk to Bulbasaur. The Grass-type will then ask you to make them a bed. You will need two leaves in order to craft a Straw Bed. Make this at the workbench, and then place it next to Bulbasaur's habitat.
Completing Bulbasaur's request is enough to level up the environment to 2 and unlock the next set of challenges in the PC. Reaching level 2 will also make more things available in the shop.
