Carving a path to the next island
This is where you will need to be at least environment level 3 in order to progress the main story, as Professor Tangrowth will not be impressed by anything less. If you are environment level 3, but Tinkmaster is not ready to talk to you about the main mission then check the PC to make sure you have picked up your level up rewards. When you are ready, speak to Tinkmaster and she will say that she is curious about the big building on the far off island.
Professor Tangrowth and Tinkmaster will follow you on your new adventure. There are two paths to the island with the big building. One route to this island can be found underground and is the more difficult path. Both Tinkmaster and Professor Tangrowth need to be able to follow you over the difficult terrain, so make sure you build a path that is easy enough for them to navigate. The other way requires you to build and place a lift platform up the stairs near Dragonite's habitat. This route will also allow Pokémon to follow you from one island to the other more easily later.
Investigating the big building
Speak to Tinkmaster in front of the big building, and she will tell you that she wants to check it out one floor at a time. You can follow her up the fire escape and speak to her on each floor. She will talk with you a little about what she thinks the purpose of each floor was before moving on. The tour around this new building will give her the inspiration she needs, and after reaching the fourth floor she will return to the entrance. Return to this part of the building and speak to her again to progress the story.
Tinkmaster will tell you about how she wants to renovate the big building floor by floor, beginning the important request Rebuild the Huge Building! Tinkmaster wants to tackle the project starting from the second floor, as the first floor has sustained minimal damage. She will place a building kit in front of the entrance for you to provide the materials and laborers.
Gathering resources
Before we start the building project it's a good idea to ransack the huge building. There are a lot of useful items inside that can be used to create new habitats and they will disappear once Tinkmaster starts renovating that floor. One of the main habitats we need to create is the Professor's apprentice program habitat, which is a whiteboard, a table, a set of jumbled cords and a laptop, all of which can be gathered either inside the building or in the next area we visit. This will create a habitat for Metang who has the recycle ability, and is very important for our resource management.
For the first part of this request we will need 25 concrete, 10 glass, 5 Pokémetal ingots, and 10 iron ingots. We will also need 5 Pokémon to help out with the build aside from the Tinkmaster herself. Glass can be made by putting any type of sand or ash in a smelting furnace, while Pokémetal is made from smelting Pokémetal fragments. There is a small mining area for these behind a Rock Smash wall on the main island with the Pokémon Center on it. Once you have all of the building materials you need, as well as the extra Pokémon to build for you, return to the building kit.
