Walkthrough:Pokémon Legends: Z-A/Part 28
Lysandre’s message
As soon as you finish your first Reward Match in the Infinite Z-A Royale, Lida will call and tell you to go to Hotel Z immediately. L is there waiting for you. He says that he remembers two beings: one that gives and one that takes. Zygarde has also not appeared again. It is hiding while it is still weakened, and it is relying on you to help it. This starts Main Mission 40: The One That Gives and Main Mission 41: The One That Takes. Naveen and Lida suggest that you talk with Mable and Grisham about what they know. You can complete Main Mission 40 and 41 in either order.
Searching for the one that gives
When you visit Mable in the lab she tells you that Xerneas is the Pokémon known as ‘the one who gives’ and Yveltal is ‘the one who takes’. She tells you that anomalous Alphas have been showing up in certain Wild Zones, and she believes they are linked to Xerneas. She wants you to catch or defeat these alphas that can be found in Wild Zones 3, 5, and 9.
All of the anomalous Alphas are found at level 70. In Wild Zone 3, it’s Steelix and this is a great chance to catch one without trading or using a Metal Coat. You can find the Alpha Gallade hanging out where the group of Venipede usually are in Zone 5. Zone 9 meanwhile has an Alpha Pangoro on a high rooftop usually populated with Mawile. Once you have defeated or caught all of the Alphas, talk to Mable again. Mable then tasks you with catching Xerneas saying that it will appear in Wild Zone 11.
Investigate the sand near the river on the side where Alpha Slowbro usually hangs out. Xerneas will appear, and Mable will call saying you need to catch it. Don't worry if you fail to catch it on your first attempt. You'll return to just before you encountered it so that you can try again. Once you capture it, you'll complete Main Mission 40: The One That Gives.
Finding the one that takes
Approach Grisham at Nouveau Café. He and Griselle tell you to meet them at Quasartico Inc. to discuss Yveltal with the company. Vinnie explains that Grisham and Griselle have helped Quasartico to build a battle simulator to help us train in the fight against Yveltal, and then asks us to use the simulator to battle the Rogue Mega Victreebel, Hawlucha and Tyranitar again.
Talk to Vinnie to take part in these rematches. The Pokémon are all now level 70, and you'll have to take them on solo, but they use the same moves as before. After you defeat all three, Vinnie will receive a call that Yveltal has reached Lumiose City, and is ready to land on the roof of Galerie de la Lune. Like with Xerneas, you'll get to repeat the fight if it fails to get in the ball, so don’t worry too much if it breaks out. Once you've caught Yveltal, Team Flare Nouveau will meet you on the roof. With that, Main Mission 41 is complete.
