Feasibility
This page looks like a big effort! As a general practice, we tend to avoid lists of "images by attribute" type of articles. Lists of images are almost always better served by categories, which we do already have for this topic over here. Lists and categories are considered two sides of the same coin, serving most of the same purposes with one being better than the other depending on the circumstances. Something like this, (with over 2200 items--we haven't added anything for the Chinese coins that came out this year yet) would balloon exponentially and become unloadable for most readers. In this instance, we can utilize the image categories to automate this data and keep load times capped at a default that's reasonable for most viewers. We probably won't be able to implement this draft page (but don't let that deter you from future NBDB ideas! ) MaverickNate 02:32, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up! To be honest, I created this page more out of my own curiosity to see the coins all in the same place and was thinking of it being more for my own personal use. I don't know if those are allowed so if you don't want me to clutter the wiki's resources with pages like these, I'll abandon this idea. 𝐍𝐚𝐌𝐫𝐨𝐳 ►Talk 06:16, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- My mistake for assuming it was intended for the mainspace! Sorry about that. I will say that personal userpages tend to be regulated in a way that draft userpages aren't. So if you want to maintain it, I would recommend a word document or heavly utilizing the preview button or something to work through the additions so that you don't exceed the 3 personal userspace edits per day. (But I do recommend the archaives category. It might not be exactly what you are looking for, but it does go a long way.) MaverickNate 06:55, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
